CRAFTY LIONS HELP PREPARE FOR SIDLEY EXTRAVAGANZA

Lions Sue Cassell and Val Mewett helped children decorate lanterns for the Sidley lantern parade which will take place on December 1st.

With the prospect of glue, glitter, feathers and baubles, the event attracted excited children, and Lions, who thoroughly enjoyed decorating the lanterns – and themselves!!

As part of the Heart of Sidley Christmas Extavaganza, Bexhill Lions’ painting contest returns with the chance to win a cuddly lion toy and a £25 Love2Shop voucher from Amicus Horizon. There is also a kids “find the lion” Competition supported by 22 retail outlets in the village.

The Heart of Sidley festivities continue with carol singing, face painting, crafts and other activities in All Saints Church. At 5.30pm the lantern parade will set off from the A BBQ, Sidley Brass Band and Uncle Bumble will add to the merriment.

There is also a chance to win a Christmas hamper in the Lions’ Lucky Draw, kindly hosted by the New Inn.
