Lions Clubs vision for Air Ambulance night flying in the South-East moves closer

Representatives from Lions Clubs across the south-east met at Redhill Aerodrome on Saturday 20th July to present their next major donation of £150,000 towards their target of £250,000 for the introduction of night flying operations.

Helicopter crew joined with Adrian Bell, CEO of the Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, in demonstrating the new night flying crew helmets and night flying equipment.

In accepting this major donation, Adrian went on to say

“ The Lions are amazing partners for the charity and have shown considerable fortitude, enthusiasm and imagination in raising this funding in just over a year. The equipment we are now able to purchase is an integral part of saving peoples lives and I cannot thank the Lions enough, they are outstanding.”

One of Lions objectives is to bring aid to those in distress, and we are delighted to partner with the charity as it works towards extending its service to cover both day and night. The Lions Club of Bexhill has donated in excess of £2,000 to the appeal.
