SAFETY COMES FIRST FOR KING OFFA

Pupils at King Offa recently took part in the annual “Safety in Action” education and awareness event at Bexhill Community Fire Station. The Year 6 pupils received the highest points out of 20 schools, who sent over 660 children.

LIONS HELP THE SARA LEE TRUST KEEP QUIET

Following a request for support from the Sara Lee Trust, the Bexhill Lions Club was pleased to help out with a donation of £1,000. Funding was needed to further enhance the privacy in the counselling and complementary therapy rooms at the Therapy Centre in Sidley. 

 


WHAT PEACE MEANS TO LOCAL PUPILS

Creative talent was on show when two local senior schools entered the Lions International Peace Poster competition. This encourages youngsters to show their artistic ability as well as expressing their view, aspirations and hopes for peace with the theme “The Future of Peace”.

BEXHILL LIONS ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE AWARDS

At the recent District convention of Lions Clubs in the SE of England, Bexhill Lions Club was presented with the prestigious Club Excellence Award for 2016/17. The nomination was supported by the District Governor and then approved by Lions Clubs International HQ.
